FERN, of Brockton, formerly of Avon and Randolph, August 22nd, Paula M. Daughter of the late Edward J. and Mildred (Schouller) Fern. Devoted sister of Edward Fern of Keizer OR, Mary Ellen Scott of Cape Cod and the late Phyllis A. Tapp. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Born in North Adams MA and died at Caritas Good Samaritan Medical on Aug. 22nd. She was 60 years old. She was a retired underwriter for John Hancock Life Insurance. She worked there for 38 years from 1958 to 1996. A resident of Brockton, she had previously lived in Avon and Randolph and was a graduate of Randolph High School. SARES, of Randolph, formerly of E. She was a special machine operator stitcher for the International Ladies Garment Workers Union for more than 20 years. She grew up in Cambridge and attended Cambridge Schools. Keough of Holbrook, Wesley A. Bethune of Whitman, Mary L. Allen of Brockton and the late Dorothy A. Levreault and Arthur E. Bethune Jr. Sister of the late Arthur and William Tilt. She has made her home in Holbrook for the past 44 years. She was a volunteer for South Shore Elderly Services at Holbrook Court for over 22 years. She was also a member of the Winthrop Congregational Church, Holbrook and the Holbrook Golden Age's. GENTLES, of Brockton, formerly of Boston, August 6th, Rupert Gentles. Beloved husband of Winsome (Brown). Loving father of Donna Gentles, Andrea Riobe, Sheldon Gentles and Garreth Gentles all of Brockton and Andrew Francis of Taunton. Dear son of Wesley Gentles of Jamaica and the late Victoria Harris. Also survived by 3 grandchildren and several relatives in Jamaica. He worked as an auto mechanic for Avis car rental at Logan Airport for over 15 years. He has lived in Brockton for the past 10 years and previously he had lived in Boston. (Bartoloni) Adelman was born in Boston and died at the Quincy Medical Center in Quincy on Friday the 4th of August, at the age of 76. She has lived in Holbrook for the past 15 years and previously she had resided in Quincy. She worked as a clerk for the Jordan Marsh Company in Boston for over 30 years.
