WILLIAMSON , Jennie (Barsella) of Holbrook, December 22, 2009, at age 86. Beloved wife of William Williamson Sr. Loving mother of Janice Williamson of Moultonborough, NH and the late Bill Williamson Jr. Mother-in-law of Lynda Williamson of West Lake, LO. Grandmother of Casey Williamson of West Lake, LO and Rory Williamson of Lake Charles LO. Daughter of the late Henry and Vera Barsella. Sister of the late Henry Barsella, Frederick Barsella, Elsie Whalen and Gloria Waldrip. Reposing at the Cartwright Funeral Home, 69 So. Franklin Street, (Rte 37), Holbrook. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday at 10:30 AM in Holbrook United Methodist Church, Holbrook. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Monday 3:00 – 6:00 PM. Burial in Union Cemetery, Holbrook. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Jennie’s name to Holbrook United Methodist Church, 60 Plymouth Street, Holbrook, MA 02343. Jennie died at the Weymouth Health Care Center in Weymouth after a recent illness, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Quincy and attended Quincy Schools. She served in the US Navy Waves from 1944 to 1946, stationed in Pearl Harbor Hawaii, where she returned to visit many times. She earned the Navy American Theater and Asiatic-Pacific Theater Victory Medals. Jennie married William Williamson in 1950, moved to Holbrook , raised her family and has lived their since. She worked at Holbrook High School for 30 years retiring in 1993. She enjoyed traveling and visiting with family and friends . She made others around her laugh and enjoy life even more. Jennie was a member of the Holbrook Council on Aging for many years as well as Holbrook United Methodist Church. WWII US NAVY Veteran.
