PHILLIPS, Richard “Dick”, of Braintree, formerly of Roxbury, January 4, 2010. Beloved husband for 50 years of Mary L. (Cappuccio) Phillips. Loving father of Susan Gouveia and her husband Jim of Dartmouth, Beth Sergeff and her husband Michael of Quincy and Jane Phillips-Cutler of Braintree. Devoted brother of Charles Phillips and Beverly Grace Phillips both of Yarmouth. Dear grandfather of Ryan, Jennifer and Katie Geraghty, Michael, Jillian and Maggie Sergeff and Janaya Cutler. Brother-in-law of Michael Cappuccio and his wife Jean of Stoneham and their children and grand children. Reposing at the Cartwright – Venuti Funeral Home, 845 Washington St., Braintree until 9:30 AM on Friday followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM in St. Francis of Assisi Church, Braintree. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Thursday 4:00 - 8:00 PM. Burial in St. Mary Cemetery, Randolph at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Dick’s name to the Jimmy Fund, 10 Brookline Place West, 6th Floor, Brookline, MA 02445-7295. Born in Medford, Dick passed away at his home in Braintree surrounded by his loving family on Monday at the age of 73. Graduate of Somerville High School, Class of 1954, he also attended Boston University. Dick worked as a salesman in the liquor industry for over 45 years and had recently retired from United Liquors. Resident of Braintree for the past 25 years.
