PARSONS, John S. “Jack”, of Randolph, formerly of Weymouth, passed away January 28, 2010, after a long illness. Loving husband of 58 years to Emily “Lee” (Edunas) Parsons. Father of David Parsons and his wife Tina and Dana Parsons all of Randolph. Brother of Selina Litchfield of Abington, Thelma Wainshilbaum and her husband Ed of CA, Fern Jones of NH, Dawn Shafer of NY, William Parsons of AZ and the late Stella Hanning – Lee and Janet Huber. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Born in Somerville, Mr. Parsons grew up in Weymouth and graduated from Weymouth High School. He was a Korean Conflict Veteran serving in the ARMY during the occupation of Germany. He was an excellent mechanic and retired maintenance supervisor, once described as one who could perform “magic with machines”. He could fix almost anything and if a part was not available, he would make one himself. Mr. Parsons was a member of the Masons Norfolk Union Lodge, A.F.& A.M.. Reposing at the Cartwright Funeral Home, 419 No. Main Street, (Rte 28), Randolph. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours Thursday 4:00 – 7:00 PM followed by a Funeral Service at 7:00 PM in the Funeral Home. Burial in Central Cemetery, Randolph at a later date. Should friends desire, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701, the American Diabetes Association, 1 Bromfield St., Boston, MA 02108, the National Kidney Foundation, 85 Astor Ave., Suite 2, Norwood, MA 02062, Norfolk Union Lodge A.F.&A.M., 403-R Washington St., Braintree, MA 02184 or the First Congregational Church Memorial Fund, 1 So.
