DONNELLY, Thomas H. of Holbrook, passed away Feb. 3, 2010, at age 93. Husband of the late Helen (Treco) Donnelly, he was the loving father of Thomas S. Donnelly of Kingston, Gerard Donnelly of Longmeadow and Regina Martin of Falmouth; devoted brother of Eleanor Sullivan of New Hampshire, the late Michael Donnelly, Dorothy Shea, Mary Hammond and Rita Epperly. Also survived by eight grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Tom was born in Boston and had lived in Holbrook for many years before moving to Falmouth. He worked for the city of Boston Parks Dept. both before and after World War II. He became a civil engineer and worked for the Commonwealth of Mass. D.P.W. for many years. At the time of his retirement, he was the chief contract engineer for the Commonwealth of Mass. D.P.W. During World War II, he served in the U.S. Army Air Corps and was stationed in the Aleutian Islands. While in Holbrook, he was a longtime member of the Democratic Town Committee. He also enjoyed traveling with his late wife. Reposing at the Cartwright Funeral Home, 69 South Franklin St. (Rte. 37), Holbrook. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a brief visitation period Saturday morning from 8 a.m. to 8:30 a.m., followed by a funeral Mass at 9 a.m. in St. Joseph Church, Holbrook. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery, Holbrook.
