WEEKS, Ethel E. (McDermott) of Holbrook formerly of Brockton passed away Feb. 4, 2010 at the age of 91. Beloved wife of the late William J. “Bill” Weeks, Sr. Loving mother of Suzanne English and her husband John of Milton, William J. Weeks, Jr. and his wife Concetta R. of So. Weymouth, Gerald D. Weeks and his wife Natalie of Fort Hill, MD, and Richard M. Weeks and his wife Doris of Rockland. Daughter of the late Charles J. and Permellia (Dumas) McDermott. Also survived by 9 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. Ethel was born in Brockton where she grew up and graduate of Brockton High School Class of 1936. She was a librarian at Holbrook Public Library where she had worked for many years. She also enjoyed traveling with her late husband, reading, gardening and her family. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Funeral Mass Friday at 9:00 AM in St. Joseph Church, Holbrook. Burial will take place in Calvary Cemetery, Brockton. At the family’s request visiting hours have been omitted. Should friends desire memorial contributions may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 6931 Arlington Rd., Bethesda, MD 20814.
