MATTIE, Hubert E. “Hubie”, of Holbrook, after a period of failing health, February 24, 2010. Husband of the late Mary A. (DelJacko) Mattie. Father of Joseph Mattie and his wife Florence of Idaho and the late Steven Mattie. Brother of John J. Mattie of Attleboro, Charlotte A. Fraser of E. Weymouth and the late Francis N. Mattie, Bernard G. Mattie, Mary E. Nolan and Patricia C. Kennedy. Also survived by 1 granddaughter. Reposing at the Cartwright Funeral Home, 69 So. Franklin Street, (Rte 37), Holbrook. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday at 12:00 Noon in the Funeral Home. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. A visitation period will be held Saturday morning from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM. Burial will be in Union Cemetery at a later date. Should friends desire memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice. Born in Quincy, Hubie has lived in Holbrook for the past 47 years. Hubie worked as a machinist for Johnson Motors in Quincy for over 35 years before his retirement. Late member of the United States Coast Guard.
