CALCIO, Aldona, A. (Strazdas), of Holbrook, formerly of Somerville, March 7, 2010, at the age of 79. Beloved wife of Joseph A. Calcio. Loving mother of Judith Alagno and her husband Frank of New York and John Calcio and his wife Susan of Wellesley. Devoted sister of Albin Strazdas of New Jersey. Dear grandmother of Maggie, Sarah and Lucy. Also survived by 1 niece and 2 nephews. Reposing at the Cartwright Funeral Home, 69 So. Franklin Street, (Rte 37), Holbrook until 9:45 AM on Thursday followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30AM in St. Joseph Church, Holbrook. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Wednesday 2:00 - 4:00 & 6:00 - 8:00 PM. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. Should friends desire memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701. Aldona was born in Somerville and graduated from Somerville High School. She was retired Secretary and has lived in Holbrook since 1960. Aldona was a Board Member of the Holbrook Council on Aging and Editor for their news letter. She was also a Member of the Holbrook Cultural Council.
