FITZPATRICK, Robert L. Jr, State Police, Ret., of Randolph formerly of Dorchester, June 16, 2010 at age 87. Husband of the late Virginia A. (Dorney) Fitzpatrick. Loving father of Karen Cicione of Plantation FL., Robert Fitzpatrick of Longmeadow, Lawrence Fitzpatrick of Milton, Brian Fitzpatrick of West Chester PA. and Richard Fitzpatrick of Marblehead. Brother of the late Ruth Curran, Paul Fitzpatrick and Virginia Houghton. Also survived by 9 Grandchildren. Reposing at the Cartwright Funeral Home 419 No. Main Street,( Rte 28), Randolph until 8:15 AM Saturday followed by a Funeral Mass at 9:00 AM in St. Mary Church, 211 No. Main Street, Randolph . Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Friday 4:00 – 8:00 pm. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery Braintree. Robert was born in Boston and grew up in Dorchester. He was a WWII Veteran who served in the US ARMY Air Force. He was a Police Officer for 40 plus years. He began his career with Metropolitan District Commission and retired from the State Police. He was assigned to the Blue Hills State Police Barracks in Milton. Founding Member of R.A.M.P. (Retired Assoc. Metropolitan Police).
