SASSONE, Rita E. (O’Connell) of Randolph formerly of Dorchester passed away July 1, 2010 at the age of 90. Beloved wife of the late John A. Sassone. Loving mother of John A. Sassone, Jr. of WA and Kathleen J. Cotto and her husband Gilbert of Avon. Devoted sister of William “Bill” O’Connell and his wife Claire formerly of Dedham. Dear grandmother of Gilbert Cotto, Jr., Christopher Sassone, Nicole Kulp, April Cotto and Matthew Sassone. Also survived by 7 great grandchildren. Mrs. Sassone was born in Boston lived in Dorchester before moving to Randolph 47 years ago. She was a Payroll Clerk at the Boston State Hospital for 30 years and retired about 25 years ago. She enjoyed spending winters in Port Orange, FL for many years. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Memorial Visiting hours Thursday 4-8 PM in the Cartwright Funeral Home, 419 No. Main St. (Rte. 28), Randolph MA. A Memorial Funeral Mass will be held Friday at 9:00 AM St. Bernadette Church, Randolph. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
