ROSS , Rita A, (Sullivan) “Nan” of Duxbury, formerly of Braintree, passed away May 11, 2012, at the age of 88. Wife of the late George M. Ross and Robert W. Hancock. Mother of Peg Blackwell and her husband Larry of Carver and Kathy Hancock and her husband Jim Hecox of Holden. Sister of the late Ed J. Sullivan and Robert C. Sullivan Dear grandmother of Cathryn S. Blackwell, Edward “Tim” Blackwell, Mark Hecox, John Ross, Colleen Ross Parillo, Jennifer Bell Gonzales, Darren Bell and Rachael and Nathaniel Ross.. Great grandmother of Nolan & Nathan Blackwell, Joanna & Natalie Parillo and Madeleine Bell and
Luis and Elena Gonzalez Also survived by Raymond and Mary Ross of Carver and David and Cynthia Ross of TX. Nan was born in Boston and graduated from Braintree High School. She was a retired Traffic Supervisor for the Town of Braintree, where she worked for 20 years. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a memorial visitation period Monday May 21st from 9:30 to 10:00 AM in the Cartwright-Venuti Funeral Home, 845 Washington Street, Braintree, followed by a Memorial Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM in St. Francis of Assisi Church, Braintree. Burial to follow in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Weymouth. Should friends desire, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Nan’s name to BayPath at Duxbury, Recreation Fund, 308 Kingstown Way, Duxbury MA 02332 or to Cranberry Hospice, 36 Cordage Park Circle, Suite 326, Plymouth MA 02360.
