MacNEIL, MacNEIL, Gerald A. Sr. “Jerry” of Quincy formerly of Milton and Dorchester “OFD” passed away after a long period of failing health July 9, 2012 at the age of 82. Beloved husband of 63 years to Bernice (Douglass) MacNeil. Born in Boston, he grew up in Dorchester and has lived in Quincy for over 25 years. He was a retired self employed Auto Sales and Serviceman. He was also a member of the O.F.D. Association. Loving father of Donna Flaherty of Holbrook, Dorothy McNerney of Norwood, Jeanne Flaherty of Mansfield and Gerald A. MacNeil, Jr. of Marshfield. Devoted brother of Anne Hansen of Merrimack, NH, the late George MacNeil, Elizabeth Dilando and Lawrence MacNeil. Also survived by 11 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Reposing at the Cartwright Funeral Home, 69 So. Franklin St., Holbrook. Funeral services will be Thursday at 10:00 AM in the funeral home. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM.
