WOHLANDER, Charles E. “Chaz”, lifelong resident of Holbrook, passed away unexpectedly, July 16, 2012 at the age of 66. Son of the late David and Hannette (Simon) Wohlander. Devoted brother of Frederick Wohlander of Niagara Falls, NY, Richard Wohlander of Bonney Lake WA and James Wohlander and his wife Sharyn of Plymouth. Dear uncle of Leah Smith of Pembroke and Jake Wohlander of Watertown, CT. Born in Boston, Charles grew up in Holbrook and graduated from Holbrook High School, Class of 1964. He then went on to graduate from Eastern Nazarene College in 1979 with a Degree in Economics. Charles worked at the Stop & Shop supermarket in Braintree for over 20 years. Charles was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Braintree and a member of the Bible Study group at the Church. He was an avid Bowler and bowled in many league’s at the Wright Bros. Bowling Alley in Holbrook. In his free time, Charles was an avid reader who loved Military History. He also took part in the annual Interfaith Social Services Walk-A-Thon in Quincy for the past several years. Late U.S. Air Force Veteran. Reposing at the Cartwright Funeral Home, 69 So. Franklin Street, (Rte 37) Holbrook. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday at 11:00 AM in the First Baptist Church, 594 Washington St., Braintree. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Friday evening 6:30 – 9:00 PM in the Funeral Home. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made in Charles’s name to the First Baptist Church of Braintree, 594 Washington Street, Braintree, MA 02184 or Interfaith Social Services of Quincy, 105 Adams Street, Quincy, MA 02169. Charles will be greatly missed by all those who were blessed to have known him.
